My Review -

Heartfelt is a collection of thirty poems written by Shyam Sundar Bulusu. It is marked by the lyrical beauty and a deep understanding of human suffering. The writings will touch the heart and filled me with raw sentiments.

The cover page resembles the soul of the author's writings. This is my second read by him, and like his earlier book, Living Pages, I cherish this novel. I believe that a good story stays in our head, but great poetry lingers in the heart forever.

I also felt that some of the poems were specially written for the author's late partner. The pain of solitude and the loss of a loved one is shown in his work. A few prose show today's reality and inhumane behavior, while a poem dedicated to his granddaughter reminds me of my childhood summer days. My personal favorite is Omnipotent

The language is lucid. It is fast-paced, easily readable in half n hour. Every poem portrays a different shade of affection and life. The command over vocabulary exhibits the author's experience effectively. If you're into rhymes, this book will append significance to your collection and development.

  1. Hi Aakanksha, I am facinge the proverbial horns of dilemma - which is more poignant and lilting, my poetry or your review of it. Let the dilemma survive me and not vice versa. Blessings & best wishes in every endeavour of yours in life.
