Your Ad Spot

I can't tell you how happy I am right now. I started blogging in 2017, and in February 2020, I reached 100k views. It took me 3 years to reach that number. But now, it took me only 7 months to reach the next 100k views, and with that, I can proudly say that I achieve my goal of 200000-page views before the end of this dramatic year.

In February, I wrote an article about How I reached 100,000 Page Views on My Blog, sharing some tips and my blog journey. If you haven't read it, please do. Here I will bestow a few more aspects that will help you increase your blog visibility.

SEO Tips -

You'll have heard about it, but a lot of people don't understand it completely, while some of you don't pay any attention to it, but I want you to work on these points to gain more exposure -

1. Edit your old posts from time to time. Add some new content or delete the unwanted things.

2. Include backlinks in your article. If you don't know what a backlink is, here's an uncomplicated example for you. See the second paragraph, where I put a link to my other article. That is called the backlink. There are two types of backlinks - internal and external. Simple, isn't it? It is vital to put backlinks because readers will spend a long time on your blog.

3. Use Google Search Console. It will tell you which keywords are ranking from your blog. Sometimes it also tells the relevant keywords which are not part of your article but has a good search volume on Google. You can use it to edit your posts, as stated above.

Here's an example page for you. It indicates my blog's keywords and their impressions for the past seven months. This is just one page because I can't share all the screenshots here.

4. Use Google Analytics. It offered you to track and record website traffic. It helps you to understand which pages are ranking on Google and which needs more work.

Google Analytics features are very effective. I also like their Real-time feature. It will tell you how many people are on your website currently. In Acquisition, you can find exactly where your traffic comes from.

5. Featured Snippets look something like these.

Now the thing is, no one can make their post as a featured snippet. Only Google can do this from the pages ranking in the top 5 or the top 10. But creating good content is always in your hand. If you use correct keywords, make changes in your posts from time to time, and monitor your statistics, your blog/website will rank on Google.

How to Make Your Blog More Beautiful and Effective -

As they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but when it comes to blogging, you must use a good quality template. For a very long time, I used Blogger's template, and I tried 5-6 of them before finalizing the current one created by Sora Templates. Now, the vital lesson here is that don't hesitate to do experiments. A good template will help you to increase your page views.

1. Make sure that your blog/website is easy to navigate.

2. Create different pages for the header.

3. Add your social media links to your homepage. I have put it in the header and footer both.

4. Fonts are relevant too. I saw lots of bloggers use tiny fonts, and believe me, I stop visiting their blogs because of it. People will not like your articles if they hurt their eyes, no matter how good your content is. Use font types and size that makes your article easily readable. These little things people often avoid but they will make or break your blog/website.

5. I am using a real-life example for you to understand my points in-depth. Mahima asked me for some insights regarding SEO and blog views, and I am giving my honest opinion on her blog - Bookish MB. Let's start with the home page.

* When I clicked on About the Blogger, it gives me a 404 error. It means the page I'm looking for is not there. So, being a first-time reader, I know nothing about her, which is pretty bad. Always tell your readers who you are, what makes you start blogging, and other relevant things.

* Let's talk about the header. Mahima puts four social media links, but only one is working, which is Instagram. So, I suggest creating social media accounts for the rest three and connecting them to your blog or removing the other icons.

* She puts three pages on the right-side corner. Now I have a problem with all three pages.

Contact - Why on Earth you put this x-ray image here? I read the caption, but trust me, it will do you no good. Also, if you want someone to connect on Instagram via your contact page - build a Backlink.

Terms and Conditions - Your niche is Book Blogging, and your T&Cs are out of context. They have no real connection with your work, plus no one is going to read them. Also, never put your contact info on the T&C page. You already have one for that.

Privacy Policy - It is also a waste of time and effort because it is not relatable. I would also like to point out the change in the fonts here.

Footer - I have nothing against God, but this is not working at all and never will. Keep your personal beliefs out of it because it is a book blog, not some shrine's website.

A lot is going on here. You already create a contact page, so there is no need to put it here again. About the Blogger link is working here, but it should be on the top. So, here I found a new Contact Us page, which took me to Google forms, where the blogger collects data, and it clears some things related to privacy policies.

But as an outsider, I am not impressed at all. Also, your contact number shows several zero. I can understand if you don't want to provide it, but then just remove it. I hope that you understand what I'm trying to imply here and work on it.

I have lots of suggestions, but the key points that help each blogger are -

1. Please keep the same fonts in all your posts and pages.
2. Ask other people's opinions about your blog/website.
3. Work on the things people told you. It will help you to improve and grow.
4. Don't create duplicate pages.
5. Keep your content simple and engaging.
6. Don't use absurd or unnecessary pictures.
7. Remove irrelevant stuff.
8. Add beautiful pictures to your post. (Only if it is necessary)
9. Use light mode/theme for your blog instead of dark.
10. Don't overdo the ads. It slows your website loading time also. If the ads are not relevant to your niche, it's just a waste of time for your readers.

How to Manage Multiple Social Media Accounts -

Being a blogger, everyone struggles with handling so many social media accounts, no matter what your niche is. So, I have three things to tell you -

1. Schedule your posts ahead of time.

2. Use software like Buffer. It supports Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest and helps you post your content simultaneously. It saves a lot of time, but they charge a fee for it.

3. If you don't want to pay a fee and look for a free option, I suggest prioritizing which social media is more important and working great for you. For me, it is Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, but I didn't overlook the others. Instead of that, I fixed an hour to check all my notifications.

Sometimes it's tough to connect with everyone, so don't beat yourself up. Most importantly, don't forget to engage with those who are engaging with your posts.

How to Find and Reach Your Target Audience -

The best way is to use relevant hashtags in your post. But there are a few other ways as well -

1. Connect with the right people/influencers. It means if you're a book blogger, follow other book reviewers, authors, publishers, and/or content creators. If you're a fashion, tech, food, or any other blogger, follow the people from your field.

2. Engage with them. Talk to them about your work, try to know about them as well.

3. Collaboration is the key. If you want to reach a wider audience range, collaborate with the already in your field.

4. Focus on Email marketing.

5. Create engaging content, but also keep yourself updated with the new trends/topics. I know it sounds cliche, but it is the best way to reach unique visitors.

6. I have a Facebook page where I post my blog link, but I also post the same link in different groups related to books, readers, authors, and publishers. Why? Because it gives me more reach and unique visitors. You can do the same. Join Facebook groups related to your niche.

7. My favorite is Guest Post. It is the best way to reach the target audience. You will find lots of guest blogging sites online relevant to your niche. I also provide Guest Post opportunities, so feel free to contact me.

Conclusion - I am hoping that this article helps you in every possible way. If you still have any questions, feel free to comment below. This is just a gist of what I do and how it helps me reach/gain loyal readers. Use these blogging tips/techniques to increase your reach and business. Stay consistent and stay ridiculously focused on your goals.

I want to thank each and every one of you; 200k page views will not be possible without you all. Keep reading & Keep supporting Books Charming.

    1. Yes Faizan, it is and thank you for noticing it. It means a lot. Also, so many people don't look blogging as a full time job/career, so they lack knowledge. But if someone is ready to work on their blog, then it will open new doors, and I really hope that when they come around they will learn something meaningful from this article. :)
