My Review -

Just like Harry Potter, Narnia also holds a special place in my heart. I watched the movies multiple times and never got bored. There are seven books in The Chronicles of Narnia series, publication wise The Magician Nephew is on the sixth number, but if you want to read the books in chronological order, this one is the first.

I always thought The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe must be the first book because of the movie; I was naive, lol. C.S. Lewis created a world of magic where animals can talk and live peacefully. But evil always wanted to destroy happiness and prosperity.

The evil witch came from the land called Charn. She also visited the Earth before entering Narnia with Digory and Polly. These two kids were neighbors and tricked by Andrew, Digory's uncle, into going into the magic realm. This book revolves around the foundation of Narnia, the apple tree, the first king and queen, the wardrobe by which Lucy entered Narnia along with her siblings, and many other subtle details that blow the reader's mind.

I'm not sure if the filmmakers will make a movie for this book because the last Narnia movie was released in 2010, and it's been ten years, so I don't have any hopes. But worry not, at least we all have the option of reading and trust me, books are much better than movies or series. Also, it doesn't matter if you haven't watched the films; some books are always worth reading. So, pick this book and read it in one go.
