The Greek Escape by Karen Swan

Book Review -

The Greek Escape is my first read by the author Karen Swan. I pick this book because of its lovely cover; honestly, that's the only good thing I have to say about it.

The plot revolves around Chole Marston. She worked in Invicta, which is a concierge business. After a tragic accident of Poppy, Chloe was promoted to her position, and she started handling her clients. Unfortunately, all of her clients were wealthy, and their demands seemed ridiculous, but she had to fulfill them, and as a reader, I had to read them.

Things go sideways when Chloe realizes that her ex is in the town and Poppy's accident was deliberate, not to mention one of her clients, Alexander's wife, went missing. Between all these, she meets with Joe, a rich snob who is looking for a house in Greek. Chole helped her but also fell for her. Great work ethic. LOL.

The rest of the story revolves around Chloe and her dilemma of not making ridiculous decisions one after the other. Unfortunately, the plot is dull, and I predicted the ending while I was only halfway into the book. It was so hard for me to finish reading it after that, not to mention that starting is also bland.

I don't think I will pick Karen Swan's other work anytime soon. This chick-lit story was not my cup of tea, and I will not recommend it, but if you still want to read it, go ahead.
