Versions of Reality by Karuna Sinh

Book Review -

Versions of Reality is the second book written by Karuna Sinh. Before that, she co-authored The Flute and The Sword, which is historical fiction. I previously read some of her poems on her blog, so I knew her style.

In this collection, some poems have rhythm, while some are free verse. The subject varies from mysticism, isolation, passion, and many human sentiments, but the central theme remains - as if someone is looking for some peace in this chaotic world. While reading, I also felt that the author is held these emotions for so long, and now she is relieved.

The author starts with the poem Until We Meet Again, depicting a meeting with someone near and dear to her one day, but ends with The Buddha Mind ode, where she talks about human revolution and aiming for peace, which is understandable as she is a Buddhist practitioner. Still, one can see her transition concealed in her work smoothly.

This book is a collection of twenty-five heart-touching poems perfect for all sorts of readers. Also, it is ideal for leisure reading. I recommend it.
