Tagged for Life by Aditya Nighhot is a sweet love story that takes readers on a journey through the lives of two young individuals, Karan Malhotra, and Ahana Mukherjee.
Karan, the son of a famous Bollywood filmmaker, is rich but unhappy, while Ahana is a middle-class girl from Kolkata who aspires to become an author. Despite their differences, they meet at a college in Pune, where they both study film-making and fall in love.
Throughout their college term, they didn't convey their feelings to each other, and when Karan took the initiative, the timing was terrible, leading to grief and misery. Will these two become a thing in the future? Where will destiny lead them? You'll have to read the book to find the answers.
In 2018, I read Aditya Nighhot's Until Love Sets Us Apart and loved it. The writing and narration style is the same as before, engaging and fast-paced. However, the characters could have been better in terms of personal growth. The novel's theme centers around the idea that true love can overcome any obstacle, no matter how challenging, and that marriage is only a destination, not the end goal.
The characters have their ups and downs, but the story was very predictable and couldn't touch my heart. Although the author has created a tale that draws readers in from the very first page. The plot is well-paced, and readers can finish this book in one sitting.
Overall, it is a lovely and satisfying read that will appeal to newbie readers who enjoy reading romance fiction.
